Diary ng Panget vs She's dating the gangster!

        Philippine cinema are starting to produce movies based from local novels. its just this April 2 that the film adaptation showed nationwide.

Diary ng Panget starring Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Andre Paraz and Yassi Pressnan.

Diary ng Panget follows the story of a poor, acne-ridden Eya Rodriguez (portrayed by Nadine) as a struggling scholar at Wilford Academy. She lands a job as a personal maid of the rich spoiled brat Cross Sandford (played by James) who also attends the same exclusive school. The two don’t get along, but as they get tangled in their classmates’ games of affection, their relationship becomes more complicated.

 The film grosses despite of casting not-so-popular stars. it seems that this book have so many fans .

Meanwhile another book is already having a film adaptation. 

But this time its the most popular teens stars. This book is ''she's dating the gangster''. it follows the story of Athena Dizon who falls in love with her fake boyfriend, Kenji de Los Reyes, a gangster and a campus hearthrob.

the taping of the film is still on going simultaneous with Daniel Padilla's Dos concert in araneta coliseum.

Can this film outweigh the success of the Diary ng Panget movie?
